FOIA-Freedom of Information Act allows an individual to file a request and obtain records from a government agency. A FOIA Application is very helpful and it often details someone’s entry to the United States, a family’s past immigration history, and prior interactions with the criminal and immigration systems that can have an enormous impact on eligibility for immigration relief.

We assist our clients with the following FOIA applications:

  • FBI FOIA – Federal Bureau of Investigation – to obtain criminal history
  • CBP FOIA – Customs and Border Patrol – to obtain history regarding border crossings
  • USCIS FOIA – United States Customs and Immigration Services – to obtain information on history of past immigration petitions and applications filed, benefits awarded, etc.
  • EOIR FOIA – Executive Office for immigration Review – to obtain records of immigration history and removal proceedings with the Immigration Court.
